Brief Biography I joined Reykjavik University in January of 2006 as an assistant professor in biomedical engineering in the department of science and engineering. During 2005 I completed my post-doctoral training in Jerry Siegel´s lab at UCLA; prior to that I obtained my masters and doctorate degrees in behavioral neuroscience in Mark Blumberg´s lab at the University of Iowa. I obtained a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Iceland. Before my academic career I was a fisherman on various ships in Icelandic waters. Since 2012 I have been a group leader at the rapidly growing, University of Iceland based, Biomedical Center BMC. |
